Returns & Refunds Policy

Because Fashionistar hosts both ready-to-wear collections and custom-tailored bespoke garments, our return rules are tailored to the nature of the craftsmanship:

• Tier 1: Ready-to-Wear (RTW) Products — Covered by our 14-Day Return & Exchange Window.
• Tier 2: Custom Bespoke & Made-to-Measure Commissions — Protected by our Milestone Escrow Guarantee & Free Alteration Warranty.

If you are not completely satisfied with a ready-to-wear item (e.g. standard-sized dresses, off-the-rack senator sets, footwear, or accessories), you may return it under the following conditions:

• Notification Window: You must initiate a return request via your dashboard (`/client/dashboard/orders`) within 7 calendar days of physical delivery.
• Return Dispatch: The physical item must be handed to our courier partner within 14 calendar days of delivery.
• Condition Requirements: Garments must be in their original, unwashed, unworn, and unaltered condition with all original brand tags, security seals, and packaging intact.
• Non-Returnable Items: For hygiene and health safety, pierced jewelry, intimates, face masks, and custom perfume blends are non-returnable unless defective.

Custom bespoke garments are uniquely constructed to your individual biometric measurement profile. Consequently, they cannot be returned for simple buyer remorse or change of mind. However, you are protected by stringent quality warranties:

• Measurement Conformity Warranty: If the delivered garment deviates by more than 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) from your confirmed measurement profile without prior written authorization in order chat, the tailor is obligated to provide free professional alteration within 5 business days, or issue a full escrow refund.
• Defect & Material Integrity Warranty: If the garment contains fabric tears, broken zippers, missing embellishments, or incorrect fabric patterns contrary to the agreed specifications, Fashionistar will enforce immediate correction or full escrow refund.
• Milestone Inspection Rights: Before final delivery, you receive high-resolution milestone progress photos (Cutting, Fitting, Finishing) to approve before the final milestone funds are disbursed to the artisan.

Your funds remain locked in central Fashionistar Escrow and are released to artisans in milestone stages. If a custom order is cancelled prior to completion, refunds are computed as follows:

• Artisan / Platform Fault: If the return is due to a damaged item, defective seam, wrong color/fabric dispatched, or significant measurement deviation, Fashionistar or the vendor covers 100% of return shipping costs.
• Client Preference Exchange: If exchanging a ready-to-wear item for a different standard size or color, the client covers the domestic return shipping fee (flat ₦2,500–₦3,500 depending on zone).

Once a returned item is received and inspected at our quality assurance hub (usually within 24 hours of arrival):

• Fashionistar In-App Wallet: Refunds to your in-app wallet are Instant (0–1 hour) and can be immediately used for new orders or withdrawn.
• Original Nigerian Debit Card / Paystack / Flutterwave: Processed within 3 to 5 business days depending on your issuing bank.
• International Credit Cards (Diaspora): Processed within 5 to 10 business days through international banking settlement rails.
